3 Heesen yachts finalists at World Superyacht Awards 2016
On Saturday 14 May 2016 Florence will host the eleventh annual Superyacht Awards gala. The Awards are established to recognise the remarkable ingenuity and innovation demanded by the design, engineering and construction of the world’s finest luxury yachts.
We are proud to announce that 3 Heesen yachts are finalists at the World Superyacht Awards 2016!
Ann G is finalist in the Displacement Motor Yachts below 500GT of 47m and above
Her elegant exterior lines are by Clifford Denn who interpreted the client’s brief for a yacht with a powerful and aggressive personality, incorporating complex and extremely refined design elements into the exterior lines. The result is a muscular yet sleek motoryacht that makes heads turn wherever she goes.
Reymond Langton created Ann G’s art déco inspired interiors. The beach club is one of the most iconic areas on board, and of course one of the favorites of the Owner!
A striking first impression for those stepping on board is created by the bespoke Art Deco style chandelier extending over two decks that is framed by the open-tread stairs.
Asya is finalist in the Displacement Motor Yachts below 500GT of 42m to 46.9m category
Launched in December 2014, M/Y Asya is the second in the restyled 47m class, a breed of yachts whose exterior design by the talented Frank Laupman of Omega Architects combines elegant traditional lines with contemporary flair, a marriage emphasised by the continuous glass windows and matching black paintwork on the main deck and upper decks,
The restyling includes a significant improvement in the housing of the rescue tender in an enclosed bay in front of the wheelhouse, a remarkable achievement considering the yacht is under the 500GT threshold. This additional touch of grace means the lines of the forward section of the iconic yacht now looks smooth and clean. Another important design change concerns the crew accommodation, which complies with LY3 regulations.
M/Y Asya is the expression of Heesen’s ability to create unique and award-winning vessels with naval architecture and engineering based on a proven and successful design platform.
Simplicity as the ultimate form of sophistication is the guiding principle of Asya’s interior design. Her sophisticated interior from the London-based and award-winning studio Bannenberg & Rowell has a distinctly Far Eastern, restful feel, inspired by the designs of Dieter Rams, Frank Lloyd-Wright and Tadao Ando.
Sibelle is finalist in the Displacement Motor Yachts below 500GT of 47m and above
M/Y Sibelle’s exterior lines are by Frank Laupman from Omega architects, assisted in the refinement of the design details by Mikhail Labazov and Andrei Savin from Architectural Bureau A-B Studio. The complex simplicity oxymoron epitomizes in two words the philosophy that led the design team in the development of this project.
Sibelle’s iconic vertical bow is not just a styling exercise: it also serves to reduce the vertical acceleration that causes discomfort for guests on board. The spray rails along her bow help avoid a wet foredeck but also add to her stylish design.
Sibelle offers spacious outdoor areas for the owner and his guests to enjoy life at sea. The fixed swim platform is the perfect space to relax close to the water: what a delightful outdoor guest area!
