The Vanquish Zagato Concept is a collaborative effort of Aston Martin and the Italian Design-House, Zagato. With more than 50 years of association, it is the fifth car which is created by the efforts of the teams from both companies. While Aston Martin brings the dynamism & material quality to the car, Zagato completes it with impeccable designing. The car was launched at Villa d’Este held at Lake Como, Italy on 21-22 May, 2016.

It is a part of an iconic series of cars created by the collaboration of both the brands. Right from the DB4 Zagato in the 1960s to V12 Vantage Zagato in 2011, each car highlights the USP of an Aston Martin as well as the race inspired designing by Zagato.

Marek Reichman and Andrea Zagato, led their respective teams from Aston Martin & Zagato to engineer the Vanquish Zagato Concept at the Aston Martin’s headquarters in England. The car has a forward stance with a remodeled body made from large pieces of carbon fiber. Even the lights have been changed with Zagato inspired round tail light reflectors and the use of bladed LED technology inspired from Aston Martin Vulcan.

A lot of references have been made to some of the previous Aston Martin models including wing mirrors from One-77 and rear sculptured similar to DB11. The rood continues to have the double-bubble effect that is a signature Zagato since the 1950s. With bolder design and exteriors the V12 engine has also been powered to 600 PS. The driving dynamics of the car have also been substantially enhanced.
