CRN Reveals New 62m Nuvolari Lenard Design

Italian superyacht builder CRN is a prominent member of the Ferretti Group, known for its fully custom aluminum and steel builds between 40 and 100 meters. This week CRN revealed its new 62m concept designed in collaboration with renown design firm Nuvolari Lenard. The new superyacht has been engineered by CRN’s technical department and designed by Nuvolari Lenard who created both the interior and exterior profiles.

The exterior design represents the Italian style of Nuvolari Lenard with a vertical bow and rakish lines that appear to have been formed by the wind blowing against them. According to CRN the goal of the vertical bow was not just to follow current trends, a vertical bow increases the waterline length which improves maximum speed and interior volume. The extra forward volume created by the vertical bow has been used to incorporate a tender garage.

This new design boasts an impressive 5 decks of living space with 6 staterooms accommodating up to 12 guests.  The owners are provided with an entire deck of their own that includes a forward facing panoramic lounge that can be entirely private or open depending on the owner’s preference.

Powered by twin MTU 12V4000 M63 engines the 62m design is capable of a maximum speed of 16 knots.

CRN is also in the process of building three additional superyachts including the CRN 131, CRN 135 and CRN 136. The CRN 131 is expected to be delivered this spring and make its international debut at the 2017 Monaco Yacht Show.
