One week closer to the 25th anniversary of The Monaco Yacht Show, Sept. 23 through Sept. 26, 2015, The Best of Yachting continues to highlight important facts and features about the event. Celebrating an extraordinary year in the yachting industry, going solidly into the season embracing positive change, the show is bursting with exciting new designs. Interesting projects and an invigorated audience in a number of yacht categories promise to make history at this brilliant show.

Increased interest shown by Chinese visitors to the show may be directly attributed to Monaco Week, scheduled in Shanghai and Beijing during the month of June. Promoting Monaco as a destination and The Monaco Yacht Show as the crown jewel of global yachting events, the response from Chinese buyers prompted the initiation of China Night in Monaco, expected to emerge as one of the silver anniversary’s most talked about soirees.

The historical exhibitions of the Darse Nord will move to Quai Antione I, providing for expanded, in water, superyacht and megayacht capacity, in addition to the three spectacular 100 m+ yachts that will be docked along Quai Rainier III. The show also boasts improvements in parking, staffing, and signage, promising a more streamlined experience for all.

For the sixth year running, official sponsor Ulysse Nardin continues to underscore its passion for yachting with an exceptional presence paying homage to its marine roots. The iconic, well-designed Marine Diver Monaco Limited Edition timepiece commemorates the event with a number of impressive technical features, along with an engraved back featuring a yacht, and the words  “Conquer the Ocean” and “Monaco,” defining its significance. Baccarat, Lufthansa, Taittinger, and Paola Lenti, joined by a long list of loyal and valued partners, will continue their presence, providing a posh selection of luxury services and products at the event.

The stars of the show this year are many, and the category of yachts between 40 and 50 meters appears to be very well represented. The Best of Yachting has selected three exceptional yachts from the group that should appear on every “must see” list:

The Luxurious, Art Deco Heesen Motor Yacht Ann G

Launched in May of 2015, this 50-meter work of art from Dutch firm Heesen, in collaboration with naval architect Van Oossanen, is quite remarkable. The yacht embraces a number of technical solutions that present a spacious, comfortable interior usually only apparent on yachts of substantially larger size. With a maximum speed of 15 kts, this distinctive, full displacement yacht has a 4,000 nm range at 12 kts that will carry 10 guests in 5 stunning cabins. Wide doorways and stairwells, stone mosaics, a variety of marble surfaces, and an abundance of walnut and Macassar ebony finishes are included the luxurious, Art Deco interior design. An oversize beach club is enhanced with a bar, hammam, fitness equipment, and substantial storage for tender and toys.
