Heesen Yachts Project Nova: Fifty Meters of Style Sold to Yacht Connoisseur

HEESEN Quinta Essentia

High performance, low impact, sleek design, and hybrid propulsion combined to inspire the sale of Heesen Yachts Project Nova, Y/N 17850, as announced from Heesen headquarters in June. The sale resulted from an introduction by Thom Conboy of Heesen Yachts USA.

Project Nova’s vertical bow, fixed aft platform, and spacious cabins for 12 guests accommodated by 10 crew all contribute to new levels of enjoyment at sea. Hybrid propulsion enables silent running mode, switching from diesel mechanical to diesel electrical operation, combining the two power sources when flexible power management and increased fuel efficiency are desired. Electrical mode operation speeds the yacht along at 9 knots as quietly as at anchor.

The vertical bow design from Van Oossanen and Heesen Yachts’ in-house team introduces a more spacious lower deck, allowing for a full beam VIP cabin forward, two doubles, and two twins with Pullman berths. The full beam, main deck owner’s stateroom features a free-standing bathtub amid spacious quarters.

Interiors by Sinot Yacht Design and exteriors by Frank Laupman of Omega Architecture strengthen and streamline the contemporary superstructure. Retaining the Heesen trademarks of performance and seaworthiness, Project Nova’s advances in efficiency, luxury, and comfort illustrate Heesen’s leadership in the industry, providing technical innovation through attractive, effective, and efficient design.
