Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce
Italian automakers have been known for their unique flamboyance and flair that they bring to their creations and certain companies have these traits locked down. Lamborghini has been known to create the most stunning and visually appealing cars throughout its history. The new Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce is a perfect example of what happens when performance meets aesthetic beauty.
The Superveloce tag has been associated to Lamborghini’s products that have been modified to be more extreme than the base model. They have proven to be faster and more track orientated than the model that they are based upon.
Considering the styling on the LP 750-4, aerodynamics has taken a steeper importance. The external structure of the car has been created to have a higher vertical downforce along with greater aerodynamic efficiency. The most evident change on the car is the racing style wing that has been added, this wing has three positions that can be adjusted manually according to the drivers preference. The front and rear have been redesigned to improve the overall flow of air around and over the car along with the use of carbon fiber to decrease the overall weight of the LP 750-4 by 50kg.
Lamborghini has also tweaked the suspension to incorporate Magneto Rheological Suspension on the Superveloce. The overall effect allows the car to reduce body roll through high speed corners.
The interior of the Superveloce Aventador is a first for Lamborghini regarding their new Carbon Skin material. The materials that have been used are the lightest that are currently available in the market and are extremely flexible and robust. The carbon fiber monocoque that has been used is visible in various places within the cabin proving to be the purist view of real racer orientated vehicle.
The heart of the LP 750-4 is where the car takes lead amongst competitors. Lamborghini doesn’t believe in auxiliary help from turbo or super chargers. The 6.5-liter V12 naturally aspirated power house produces a mind boggling 750 horsepower at 8400 rpm along with a torque figure of 690 Nm at 5500 rpm. The exhaust system has been lightened improving the overall response of the car which in turn creates a 0-60 mph time of 2.8 seconds. The LP 750-4 is has pushed itself easily into the category of hypercars.
The exclusive model is available at a price of $393,695.
