MY Baton Rouge: Southern Charm Takes to the Sea
Striking a pose of elegant casual chic not unlike the gracious city she is named for, MY Baton Rouge deftly navigates her impressive form as onlookers sigh approvingly. Her positively enchanting lacquered silver exterior, designed by Tim Heywood, and her blue and white beach-themed interiors by Redman Whitley Dixon mesh beautifully with the framework set by Jouke van der Baan, naval architect for Icon Yachts.
Launched in 2010, Baton Rouge’s spacious quarters amply provide for 14 guests in 7 cabins, with several dining areas, from small and intimate, to large and formal, ready to accommodate all. The tray ceilings and formal setting of the main dining room make it a truly memorable celebratory setting.
The dedicated sun deck, with large sun pad and jetstream jacuzzi, easily transforms to a penthouse party deck, complete with discotheque sound system, should festivities be in order. The upper, full beam saloon offers a mesmerizing long view of the yacht, from the curved observation lounge foredeck, through the spacious saloon and open aft lounge. Like her owners, she is open and inviting, exuding Southern hospitality at its exquisite casual best.
The main deck master suite is an indulgent 100 sqm, boasting his and hers offices, a marble bath with a view, and extensive closet spaces. Two VIP suites on the upper deck, and two doubles, two convertible doubles, and a twin on the lower deck are all accessed by a midship spiral stair. The lower deck accommodations are joined by a generous lobby, leading out to a glorious beach club, stocked with wave runners, sea bobs, kayaks, windsurfers, kitesurfers, bobdives, segways, jet skis, diving and snorkel equipment, as well as an assortment of water skis and towable toys.
A finalist in numerous industry awards, Baton Rouge is appointed with more than two dozen varieties of exotic woods in a range of finishes. Additional leathers, marbles, nickel, and bronze accents are framed by handcrafted furniture and adorned with original art throughout. A sophisticated Meyer limousine tender tucks in aft of the main deck, to ensure an impressive arrival for on shore excursions. A zero speed stabilizer ensures smooth maneuvering while in port, and a proper gym keeps fitness in tact.
The understated beauty of this gorgeous yacht will please even the most critical eye, as her silver form proves most enchanting immersed in the pale, crystalline waters of the world’s most distinguished destinations. Able to board 18 crew, Baton Rouge ensures all on board will be cared for in flawless form. To charter this luxury yacht contact Steve@TheBestofYachting.com
