M/Y Timeless, a 160′ Modern Classic Just Sold
M/Y Timeless(ex. M&M) built in 2012 by Turkish family owned Bilgrin shipyard was the first in a series of 160′ (48.7m) modern classic style Motor Yachts. The builder recently announced that the vessel has sold with the assistance of Leo Jordil of IYC Brokerage.
The classic design draws its inspiration from the 1920s where her vintage characteristics can be seen in her lines, the distinctive navy coloured schooner hull and the fitting smokestack. Inside the use of rich woods and choice fabric pays homage to her era. Her profile is fitting of a postcard image with the likes of a young Greta Garbo casually leaning over the cap rail to get a better look at the horizon.
Winner of the best Custom Yacht Design up to 50m at the 2012 World Yachts Trophies in Cannes, she earned some well deserved accolades.
When it comes to technology and engineering, she is all modern. Zero speed stabilisers ensure a smooth experience for all aboard. With a range of approximately 3850nm when traveling at 8.5 knots, her 2 MAN-D2842LE engines can take her up to 13.5knots when needed.
With a steel hull, a wooden superstructure and an 8.5m(27ft) beam, she weighs in at 334 tonnes. There are 6 staterooms to accommodate up to 12 guests and space for 7 crew.
No details are available yet on the owners or what plans they might have in store for their new acquisition. So best to stay on the lookout as you never know where she may turn up.
