Oceanco Project Spectrum Invites Variation at Ft. Lauderdale Show

Aptly named, Oceanco’s 334 ft/102m Project Spectrum offers an array of options from the propulsion system to the living spaces. Introduced at the 2016 Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show by President/CEO of Show Management, Efrem “Skip” Zimbalist III, the Dutch firm announced the details, illustrating the refined hull, hybrid propulsion, and streamlined profile on a scale model.

In keeping with demand for a seamless transition from indoor to outdoor spaces, Spectrum’s five deck plans flow with space and light, allowing passengers intimate interaction with the sea. A sauna, steam room, beauty salon, massage rooms, and gym make the lower level an active, engaging deck with terraces that open to port and starboard.

The very private upper deck features an owner’s suite that presents a dramatic panorama from the forward glazing, opening to a private spa pool and lounge area. A touch and go helipad welcomes air guests fully forward. Fully aft, a secluded al fresco dining area invites a quiet repast. In addition to the double owner’s suite, Spectrum has space for two VIP suites with private balconies and four guest suites.

The bridge deck is designed for efficient command in comfort, featuring a large helm area with two wing stations and a Portuguese bridge. Aft of the command area, a guest lounge and 9.8 ft x 9.8 ft/3m x 3m Jacuzzi invites guests to relax and enjoy the view.

Propelled by twin MTU 16V4000 M72 engines, with a 500 kW, 2250 rpm electric propulsion motor, Spectrum is expected to reach speeds around 18 kts, offering guests a fast, open, streamlined experience while at sea.
