Tankoa Suerte: Think Big, Build Bigger
Delivered from the Tankoa yards in July of 2015, the luxury superyacht Suerte provided a stunning premier for the Genoa, Italy yacht firm. At 70 meters/228 feet, Suerte earned high praise at the 2015 Monaco Yacht Show for her chic, open, luxurious spaces as well as her breathtaking list of sumptuous amenities. Exhibiting the enviable naval and shipbuilding history of Genoa’s Sestri Ponente district, Tankoa’s Suerte remains the envy of those who wish to live a comfortable home life at sea, on board an authentic “Made in Italy” yacht.
Boasting naval architecture from Studio Riggiero, Suerte’s lines are impeccably smooth uninterrupted ribbons of glass, layered with the chic white of the superstructure. Explaining that real innovation is “felt” rather than seen, the Francesco Paszkowski Design Studio carefully sculpted Suerte’s dramatic exterior. Adding to the design sophistication, Margherita Casprini followed the established aesthetics with beautiful details that add comfort and style to the interiors.
Launched in July of 2015, Suerte’s arrival announced a new standard in luxury superyacht design. Sweeping purposefully from stem to stern, Suerte’s profile easily accommodates 12 guests, graciously attended by 17 crew. Luxurious master and VIP suites are private posh enclaves, with additional accommodations for guests in two double cabins and one convertible. Broad passageways and stairs make for easy movement from one deck to another as well as fore to aft.
Performing well at sea trials, Suerte bested expectations by approaching a speed of 18 kts., with a 5,500 nautical mile range at 12 kts. Construction employing high tensile steel in the forward section of the superstructure, along with pressurized exhaust mufflers on the generators, hush any hints of noise and vibration. Additional engineering to protect against electromagnetic pollution, and installation of zero speed stabilizer balancing technology ensure a most comfortable on-board experience.
All of the important details that make a yacht exceptional have been included, along with extraordinary additions. The pool is a remarkable work of art, lined with Bisazza mosaic tile and a glass-bottom, sharing filtered natural light with the saloon below and a waterfall spilling from the superstructure overhang.
A sauna with hammam gives the beach club elevated status, and a 900-liter aquarium and an 80″ television offer a range of diversions in the sumptuous main salon. Furnished in lush colors of sand and wood with variations on the theme, a sumptuous C-shaped sofa, side chairs, and tables provide an inviting gathering space. A helipad capable of handling a twin turbine helicopter provides quick arrivals and departures, serving as a brilliant sun deck by day and dance floor by night until called to action.
An Indulgent Owner’s Apartment
The full beam, raised king owner’s suite presents a stunning, 180° view through oversize windows. Equipped with a private study, dual baths, and wardrobe, the space is furnished in sophisticated hues of black, mercury, foil, and chrome, highlighted with pops of color. Forward of the apartment, an inviting terrace with Jacuzzi, divan, and refrigerator sets the stage for relaxing moments, guarded by companionway gates that advise staff of privacy requests.
Stylish Beach Club
Neatly tucked into proper spaces just forward of the beach club, two 7.5-meter, 260-HP tenders await assignments for water fun or guest transfer. A selection of water sports toys is ready for a day spent outdoors. Overlooking the beach club through a chic wall of glass, a sauna and hammam deliver full relaxation. Adjacent is the beach club’s own saloon, outfitted with a large screen TV, bar, shower, and posh seating.
Earning RINA Green Plus Platinum certification, Suerte ensures a clean hull even when operating generators designed to eliminate carbon residue, and her exhaust is filtered, collecting carbon emissions from engine operation. Designed to thrill from every aspect, Suerte is an exceptional yacht with extraordinary aesthetics and thoughtful technologies, all aimed at creating the ultimate experience at sea.
