Une Fête Fabuleuse: 25th Year of the Monaco Yacht Show

MYS2014TUES

Twenty-five years ago, the Principality of Monaco initiated its signature event celebrating the sport of yachting. That year, just 30 yachts, with an average of 32 meters, were joined by 50 local suppliers for the express purpose of promoting the sport. This year’s iconic, silver anniversary event will acknowledge the show’s strong path to the world’s most celebrated yacht show by welcoming 120 extraordinary yachts, with an expected average size of 47 meters, joined by a list of 500 carefully curated exhibitors.

Opening on Wed., Sept. 23, 2015, running through Sat., Sept. 26, the show will ensure that the trendline toward younger clients, many from Asian coordinates, will feel particularly pampered through the honor of receiving one of the one hundred Sapphire Experience Pack invitations. These honored guests will receive privileges to board and examine the yachts, tickets to the Monaco Yacht Show Gala Inaugural, and Champagne lunch served in the Upper Deck Lounge, in addition to all day, all access passes.

This year, Quai Rainier III will dock three of the largest, most lavish yachts, undoubtedly becoming the focus of the most distinctive attendees who seek only the pinnacle of industry production. Professional Visitor Passes for industry executives are available online, as well as during the show. The public may purchase passes at the show for € 150, with the fee waived for children under 12. A notable celebration worthy of attendance, this exceptional show promises a most historic and festive experience.

One of the most interesting yachts making an appearance at the 25th Monaco Yacht Show is of Italian heritage. Rossinavi will deliver nostalgia fitted with high technology to Port Hercules in the reproduction of a classic, early twentieth century gentleman’s light displacement yacht. The 39.95m Taransay, accommodating 10 guests in 5 cabins attended by 7 crew, features a romantic profile with canoe stern, a wood sun deck, mahogany woodwork, and two Caterpillar C18 Acert engines that enable Taransay to cover a 3,500 nm range at 10 kts., with a top speed of 14 kts. Interiors by Studio Tassin are expected to reflect the authentic styling of the period, establishing a high quality benchmark for replica yachts.
